SK-II Event at Robinsons, The Centrepoint

Did you ladies join us at the SK-II Event at Robinsons, The Centrepoint on 29 March 2012??? I hope you were there since there were many SK-II products there available with SAs around to assist and address your concerns and most most importantly Sheila Sim was there as the newest Brand Ambassador of SK-II!

It was a real honour for me to be invited to this event and to see Sheila Sim in person (we have always been seeing her on magazines only) and also to 'steal' some beauty tips from her on how her complexion has improved ever since she started using SK-II.

The theme of the event has been titled "My First Compliments" and it did not occur me to why it was named this way until later. :)

Full range of SK-II products for you to test on!! I wanna bring them all home!!!

Mr Samuel Kim, Vice-President, ASEAN & Asia Development Markets, Procter & Gamble Asia, giving the opening speech

And Sheila Sim is finally here on stage sharing her skin transformation and beauty tips! Do you know you can place a cotton pad soaked with Facial Treatment Essence on your zit or stubborn spot for 10 minutes and it will become less visible? Do you also know by keeping the Facial Treatment Essence in the fridge and then applying over your face is a luxury in Singapore's hot and humid weather? Sheila shared these tips!!

There were also special guests during the event who commented on how they see the transformation in Sheila's skin after using SK-II. Who better to give such genuine comments and compliments than people whom you have worked with for the longest time and becoming your friends?? These special guests are none other than Keith Png (Fashion Designer of KOOPS and owner of Hide & Seek), Clarence Lee (Celebrity Make-up Artist and owner of Hide & Seek) and Jeremy Tan (Festival Producer, Audi Fashion Festival 2009 - 2012).

The event ended with Sheila and Mr Samuel Kim walking through the pictures and video of Sheila in her modelling career.

Before I end this post, allow me to present to you, Sheila Sim, once again. :)

For more information, check out their Facebook page here. :)

CN Blue - Love Girl

I was just watching the korean drama, Heartstrings on SCV over the weekend and as usual, I found the male lead, Jung Yong Hwa quite cute and has a taste of Kim Hyun Joong from Boys over Flowers. So after googling Jung Yong Hwa over the Internet, he is actually a member of a korean boyband, CN Blue (no wonder he can sing in the show).

While searching for some of their music videos on YouTube, I found this cute MV with a catchy tune and thought I should share them with you guys :)

Dinner at Breko, Holland Village

Me and BC have always patronize Breko for their breakfast but we have never thought of trying out their dinner menu until we saw a customer ordering a HUGE burger when we walked past Breko once.

So we finally gave their dinner a try and it's quite ok. BC ordered ribs with pasta and the aglio olio pasta is abit too oily for our liking but the ribs are so so (soft but not wow). I ordered a grilled salmon that came with 2 sides of my choice and I chose bacon and onion mash and garden salad. The salmon was fresh but the portion is really small (imagine it to be the size of a small piece of cake from candele). The garden salad was tossed too soon with the dressing that made the vegetables turned 'old' abit too soon but the mash was good. It's smooth and had the lovely fragrance from the bacon bits, yums!

Breko, in general is situated at a very convenient location in Holland Village which is even more convenient for people who travel by circle line. It's easy for me to get there from my home and I have no complaints about the location. Food is not exceptionally delicious but it is reasonable for the price of $15 for a plate of pasta and ribs or grilled salmon with 2 sides. The only peeve I have is the way they arrange the seats. In order to accommodate more customers, they gave up with this 'ingenious' idea to line the tables and chairs in a row at the entrance. As such, customers actually struggle to come into the restaurant, how smart can they get???

Lately we also noticed the portion of the breakfast set shrinking, I guess the cost of inflation is taking a toil on the restaurant owners. But I would rather they increase the price slightly and maintain the same portion size the shrink the portion.

Ways to increase your energy level

Not sure about you readers out there but I always have this problem of feel tired and lethargic and there was a point in time whereby I actually suspect I was suffering from chronic fatigue. But then, I know it is not true since I am guilty for being a bum. In the office, I am always sitting down in front of my laptop and working and back home, I will be a couch potato if I am not doing housework. But today I found this short article with simple tips on how we can increase our energy level, whenever possible.

1. Eat regularly
Although you don't want to be munching on unhealthy, high-calorie foods all day, it is important to eat something healthy every three to four hours.

When you go without food for too long, your blood sugar can go down, causing your energy to be fall, as well. Try to keep some healthy snacks around to eat in between meals. Some good ideas are fresh fruit or veggies, pretzels or other lower-calorie snack foods, low-fat yogurt, nuts, dried fruit, low-fat cottage cheese, whole-grain granola bars and cereal.

Eating regularly can help maintain your energy so it doesn't decrease in the first place.

2. Get up and move
It may seem counterintuitive to exercise when your energy is low, but it actually helps.

Walking around the room, stretching, taking a 10-minute walk outside on your break, or even doing some pushups in your office can all help increase your energy.

Exercise gets your blood flowing, which helps to make you more alert and awake. It also helps you think clearer and regain focus. Try to take a mini-break every hour or so in order to break up your routine and keep your energy up.

Walking for 10 or 15 minutes outside with your co-workers or classmates right after lunch can alleviate some of the fatigue that sometimes occurs after eating a meal. Additionally, adding a routine walk to your day will help you stay in shape and active.

3. Take a breath of fresh air
Even when you're not out to take a walk at lunch, just stepping outside for a bit of fresh air can really increase your energy. Especially with jobs where you are sitting staring at a computer screen or reading books, getting out in the open just for a minute can be very refreshing.

4. Take some caffeine
When worst comes to worst, caffeine is always a short-term fix to increase your energy levels.

Although it's not recommended to become dependent on caffeine, having one or two cups of coffee or tea per day will likely do no harm. In fact, some research has actually shown that moderate coffee consumption can be beneficial to your health, and it is a rather widely held scientific belief that many teas (which can also contain caffeine) are good for the body.

Be aware, however, that coffee and teas are healthiest when they are not loaded up with extras, such as cream, sweeteners or flavorings. Also, know that drinking coffee, cola or tea for caffeine is much better than drinking an energy drink. Energy drinks may have a stimulatory effect early on, but they also can backfire, leaving you with less energy than you started with. Additionally, many energy drinks contain extra ingredients that may not be healthy in the long run.

For me, I am definitely guilty of not exercising and I know I sound like a broken recorder but I need to move my lazy ass to the gym!!

Have you receive any compliments lately?? :)

Let's face it, all of us love compliments. It's could just be a simple compliment like "You look different, what have you been doing?" and you could be in cloud9, don't you agree? For me who have been plagued with acne in my teens and until now still continuously battling with spots and big pores, it certainly made my day when I receive compliments about my skin.

After using SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, Facial Treatment Repair C and and Skin Refining Treatment consistently for close to 1 month, I met up with a few friends whom I have not met for months and the first statement they made is "You look glowy and your skin looks smoother too! What makeup are you applying today?" and I had nothing on except powder! This compliment that I received certainly strengthens my belief in SK-II products!

For you ladies out there who are using SK-II products, have you also been receiving compliments? Do share your compliments in the FB link here from now till end of May 2012 and stand a chance to win Facial Treatment Essence 75ml, Cellumination Essence EX 30ml, Skin Signature Cream (50g) worth $447.

I have shared my compliment in the FB link already so wait and no more and share yours too. :)

Blackbird Cafe

The hunt for the next brunch place is on again and this time round we are at Blackbird Cafe at The Luxe. The Luxe is conveniently situated next to The Cathay and near Plaza Singapore but despite the convenience, it is reasonably peaceful which I love it.

Brunch starts from 10am and we were there from 1030am with only 2 customers. Even though the cafe is not huge, it is spacious and cool. The ambience is nice which makes chatting with friends such an enjoyable event.

As usual, I ordered a latte and BlackBird Big Breakie, which consist of choice of eggs (mine is scrambled, of course!), toast, pork sausage, bacon, grilled tomato, baked beans and hash cake. Very hearty right???? It's very yummy too! The scrambled eggs are nicely done and I like the hash cake too. The hash cake is like a fried mashed potato cake which is different from the usual hash browns we eat. The toast is nicely toasted and bacon taste decent but I do not like the pork sausage, taste weird, in my opinion. Not that it's not fresh, it is but the taste just doesn't goes well with my taste bud.

BC and Juju ordered Nana's omelette which is an omelette with ham and cheese. Sorry I did not managed to take a picture of it as we were just busy eating our food. They had good comments about the omelette as well and it does not look dry from frying but smooth and moist. :)

BC also ordered a bread basket and the presentation looks good.

Honestly, I do not have any complaints about the food but the services could seriously be better. Initially when I was ordering for Juju before she arrived, she wanted Big Breakie with omelette. However, when I placed the order, the waitress say it cannot be done in omelette form, only poached or scrambled. Seriously, we do not see why omelette is an issue if you are using the same amount of eggs. Secondly, the service staffs there were all busy chatting among themselves instead of attending to customers' needs and it certainly look more effort on our part to get their attention. Tsk tsk tsk....... this is definitely area of improvement.

Prices are very reasonable at $18++ for Big Breakie and $12++ for Nana's omelette. Quite decent in my opinion. Would I go back Blackbird Cafe again? The answer is still a yes. Food and convenience definitely scored some points there. Even though the service could be better, I'm still ok as long as they do not behave as if I owe them money, haha.

OPI I Don't Give A Rotterham

1 of the polishes I picked up from the Holland Collection from OPI is I Don't Give a Rotterham! Honestly, the name is soooo catchy that it certainly describes my mood at times when I just feel like screaming 'I don't give a d**m!!'.

Anyway, sorry for digressing but I Don't Give A Rotterham is a dusty blue shade with shimmers. The shimmers look like a mixture of silver and gold and I love how subtle the shimmers are. My personal preference has always been to opt for polished that has shimmers or frosted look as creamy polishes tend to look flat. But doesn't mean I avoid all cream polishes at all. Always nice to have a variety of finishes to play around. :)

When I started applying the polish on my nails, I noticed the texture of this polish is quite watery and light, which makes it easy to apply. 2 coats of I Don't Give a Rotterham as shown in the pic above is still considered pretty sheer, in my opinion. An additional coat will make it look more opaque and stronger in colour.

This is another polish that I will always reach for since it's so work safe with a subtle twist of colour, don't you think? And maybe the next time someone piss me off in office, I will just show them my nails as an indication 'I don't give a d**m', lol.

Battleship!!

After watching 'Battleship' yesterday, I only have 1 word to describe it......AWESOME!. It is really good and makes you sooooo excited at every scene. For a movie which is 131mins long, it does not feel that long at all.

I did not know this game is adapted from a game but BC enjoyed it because he played the game before when he was younger. The graphics is very impressive and it's really amazing to know the advancement of current technology is soooo good to create graphics that look so real. This movie has a taste of 'Transformers' especially when we look at the alien's battleship.

On a separate note, the male lead, Taylor Kitsch look damn cool in the movie! He look wayyyyyy better with his short hair and clean-shaved face!

Rihanna is also acting in this movie as a weapons specialist I was halfway through the movie and was thinking for the longest time who is this actress who reminds me so much of Rihanna. I only realised she is Rihanna when the movie ended and credits were rolled!

This is definitely a movie I would recommend and especially so if you played the game before. 4.5 popcorns out of 5!!

Completed stuffs sent for recycling

Singapore has started the public education on recycling many years ago and in my honest opinion, I do not think it is very successful. From an individual point of view, not only does many still not understand the importance for each of us to start recycling, it is not convenient for us to recycle too. The nearest recycle bin near my place is approximate 200m away and is interestingly tuck away in the direction that I normally would not walk to too.

On and off, I will always make sure I pack the old newspapers and magazines in the recycle bag that were provided to us and place it outside our unit. I do suspect that some other people would 'steal' them and sell them to garung guni man to get some money but I don't care. Because all these end up getting recycled too.

Lately, I started keeping the plastic bottles and containers of products that we completed (from shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, moisturizer etc) so that we can pack it in and dump into the recycle bin. I actually felt happy about it! We are all doing our little bit so let's start somewhere and start recycling!!

Desperately trying to complete......

I have completed a number of skincare and makeup stuffs over the years and never once a lip product...... God, I'm dying to just finish a lipstick / lipgloss / lip balm!!!! Why can't I just complete 1?????

But lately I noticed that one of my lipstick in my disgusting stash is finally heading someway towards the completion line and that is Dior Addict High Shine in champagne blush which I blogged here previously.

If I can wear this to bed so as to speed up the usage, I would! But that would be such a waste isn't it? Thus I am telling myself that this will be the ONLY lipstick I would be using until it is completed. And since I do not bring this out for touch ups, this could mean this lipstick could still be around next month, BUT let's start somewhere. :)

The shine and pink shimmers in this lipstick is just lovely that makes my face glows even though I could be having only compact foundation, eyebrow and blusher on me (which is my usual routine lately since I am too tired in the morning to do more). I don't think I would pick this shade again given the vast variety of shades and finishes of the lipsticks available in the market but it will always be one of the shades I remember.

So here is the pic of the Dior lipstick showing how much is left in the tube next to my new love, Yankee Candle in Lemon Lavender. I'm sure I'm going to be picking up more of this candle. :)

Porn's @ SAFRA Mt Faber

It's always sad to see a nice colleague leave but we always end up feeling happy over a nice farewell meal! That should be life, right? :) For the farewell lunch for C, one of my dear colleague whom I had worked closely with for the past 1 year, we headed to Porn's at SAFRA Mt Faber for C's farewell lunch.

When we reached around 1230, it was not crowded which is a good thing, given the place is not very big. We ordered Thai Salad with minced pork and vermicelli, tom yum seafood soup, pandan chicken, fried kang kong and fried omelette with minced pork.

My favourite among these dishes would be the Thai salad. I just love the refreshing taste of this salad with minced pork and cashew nuts. Most importantly, I love vermicelli! Tom yum soup is pretty spicy too so do drink it carefully to not get choked but the heat just gives you the kick, I like!

Fried kang kong, pandan chicken and omelette is just normal in my opinion but at least I enjoyed the food served at Porn's. A nice meal in my opinion.

Completed: Chanel Mat Lumiere Extreme Powder Foundation

For the longest time, I have been using powder foundation because it was more convenient. Instead of applying liquid foundation and setting it with powder, all I need to do is to sweep powder foundation with a sponge with less than 10 strokes and I'm done :)

Today I am here to share the completion (ok, maybe it can still be used for a few more times) of my HG powder foundation: Chanel Mat Lumiere Extreme Powder foundation.

Please pardon the disgusting looking case as it has been heavily used. Chanel Mat Lumiere Extreme is housed in a black plastic case and the compact is refillable. Unlike some brands where the refill compact is keep intact in a case with a sticky tape at the bottom, Chanel's is a snap in case which is much more secure in my opinion. It comes with a velvet case which is a terrible dust magnet but looks pretty sleek when you bring it out for touch up. Check out the Chanel logo embossed on the top of the plastic case!

Ok, now to the formula of this powder foundation....

Extracted from Chanel website:-

Enriched with vegetal lipides and Lilium extract, MAT LUMIÈRE EXTRÊME mattifies the complexion with lasting results: sebum production is perfectly controlled and the appearance of pores is minimized.

Coated powders and treated pigments ensure optimum makeup and colour hold all day long. With its SPF 20 / PA+++, it protects the skin from damaging UV rays. The soft focus pigments allow MAT LUMIÈRE EXTRÊME to conceal dark spots and imperfections while offering a luminous and even makeup result. Peach Extract, renowned for its moisturizing and emollient properties, offers the skin an excellent sensation of comfort.

One of the reason why it is my HG powder foundation is how well it controls the sebum production. In addition, the powder of this foundation is soooo smooth and fine that when I apply it on my skin, it does not look cakey at all. As such, my skin stays matte and smooth for as long as 12 hours. I do blot my skin with tissue paper as per usual and with this powder foundation, I usually blot around every 5 hours or so which is consider super good.

For my NC30 skin, I am using 40 Beige Sable and it fits me perfectly. Coupled with P&J moisturising primer, this combination is my fool proof formula to a long day. You might be wondering why am I using a MOISTURISING primer with a mattifying powder foundation given that I would like to control the sebun production. The reason is because I noticed that as I grow older *cry*, my skin is not as oily as before and if I were to use a mattifying primer with this mattifying powder foundation, I end up with a overworked oil field that is just terrible. However, with a slight moisturising primer, it is just enough to keep my skin moisturised without looking oily. I also noticed my skin doesn't feel tight and uncomfortable with this combi at all too.

I have used 2 refills of Chanel Mat Lumiere Extreme powder foundation and it never fails me. For 13g of product, it lasts me a good 4-5 months if I use them daily for weekdays. I cannot remember the price of the refill but it is around 70-ish range and case is sold separately.

Would I re-purchase this again? You bet! Even though I am developed a liking to liquid foundation, but I would still go for speed of the powder foundation when I am in a rush. :)

Misses for March: Lancôme Teint Miracle liquid foundation & Revlon lipbutter

We all love good purchases that made us feel that we made the right decision and spending the money. The cruel truth however is that no matter how much we research on a particular product, there are just some products that might not suit us or we end up not liking them.

Today I would like to share my misses for March: Lancôme Teint Miracle liquid foundation and Revlon lip butter.

Lancôme Teint Miracle liquid foundation

I have done many researches online before deciding to give this foundation a try but unfortunately, it still doesn't work for me. My preference in foundation is one with medium coverage. Even though I have combination skin, I do not need one with oil control and I find acceptable to have shine even within 4 hours. But somehow, this liquid foundation just doesn't sit well on me. I have read on many beauty blogs that it provides light coverage but it didn't cross my mind that I would dislike the light coverage since the acne scars and redness on my face are still visible. Having the lazy streak in me, concealer is never an option for me, lol.

Earlier on, I mentioned that this foundation does not sit well on me and believe me when I say I tried different combination possible and I still dislike this. The combinations I tried so far:-
1) P&J Moisturising Primer + Teint Miracle + P&J Pressed powder = Shine appearing as fast as within 3 hours (disaster!!)
2) RMK Creamy makeup base + Teint Miracle + P&J Pressed Powder = Oil control is better but my skin feels tight and uncomfortable
3) Clarins UV Plus HP Day Screen + Teint Miracle + P&J Pressed Powder = It looks perfect for the 1st 2 hours and subsequently turning to an oil field once again :(
4) Dior Snow UV Shield BB Cream + Teint Miracle + P&J Pressed Powder = looks full coverage for my liking. Foundation stayed on the best with this combination but I just find it too drama to have full coverage
5) Teint Miracle + Chanel Mat Lumiere Extreme = cakey cakey, hiaz.

This liquid foundation is a miss for me not because it is a lousy product but I have certain requirement of a liquid foundation that I look out for which it is not able to meet, primarily in terms of coverage and oil control. For ladies with complexion not requiring much concealing and having normal skin, I believe Lancôme Teint Miracle liquid foundation will be able to recreate the natural light of perfect skin for you that you love.

Revlon Colour Burst lip butter

When Revlon lip butters were finally launched in Singapore, I remember I RUSHED to Watson's like a crazy woman, dying to try out the texture and snagging at least one for my own use. I happily bought Peach Parfait and Sugar Plum and tried it 1 week later. Despite the website indicating that the lip butters contain hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter formula that boosts lip moisture, my lips tell me otherwise. At the end of the day after applying the lip butter, my lips crack fairly badly. Maybe it's my lips drier than normal but at least for me, this certainly doesn't live up to my expectations.

Not sure if there are any misses for you but I would love to hear you sharing them. :)

HerWorld Beauty Awards 2012 (Part 2)

If you refer to my earlier post introducing the 3 SK-II products that won HerWorld Beauty Awards 2012, you would know that's not all. SK-II won a total of 7 awards and I have only shared 3, so let's take a look at the other products that is worth your attention now. :)

It provides intensive moisturisation while boosting skin's Aura-Lucency. If you want a product that provides you with hydration and whitening benefits, this is the product to look at.

Spot Targeting / Tone improving Serum: SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist

If you are troubled with spots and freckles like me, pay attention here!! :) SK-II Whitening Spots Specialist is able to fight spots formation by targeting both hidden and visible spots. This is due to the presence of new Spot Root Complex, a potent combination of ingredients such as the Pal-pal extract and De-Melano P3C that demonstrates superior whitening efficacy.

HerWorld Beauty Awards 2012 (Part 1)

How do you ladies out there decide whether a product that you are interested in but have yet to try is good enough for you to invest and try it? Forums? Websites? Recommendations by friends or family? For me, I tend to rely on recommendations by friends or family because I can ask more questions on how much is it, how long they used to see the effect etc etc. BUT there is another way for me to find out more of the new or excellent existing products in the market that is worth a try and that is awards / beauty list by major magazines in Singapore. One of which is the annual HerWorld Beauty Awards. :)

As the saying goes "Good things must share!!" thus the purpose of HerWorld Beauty Awards is to bring together all the wonderful products in the market from skincare, bodycare, haircare, to fragrances, compile them in a list and allow all readers out there to refer to and see what are the best products in town. Isn't that convenient??? I hate searching and researching, that's the lazy bug in me.

Do you know SK-II won 7 awards in HerWorld Beauty Awards 2012? Not 1 and not 2 but 7!!! Wow, that's impressive! Given that there will be so much to share since there are 7 products, I will start by sharing 3 of the products that won awards in HerWorld Beauty Awards 2012 in this post and the remaining 4 products in another post. Are you ready?? Let's go!

Hydrating Cleanser: SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser

Do not underestimate this tube of cleanser, haha. SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser contains Concentrated Pitera™ and Mild Treatment Essence that leaves your skin hydrated even after 30 minutes of cleansing. Yes, there is no typo there, it's 30 minutes and not 3 minutes! How impressive is that??? It also has a light rose scent that is not over the top but yet giving that calm, tranquilizing effect. I have personally used this cleanser myself and I have to say I really like it. If you hate the squeaking clean and tightness effect after cleansing, SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser would be what you are looking for.

Anti-ageing Cleanser: SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleansing Cream
For ladies who prefer a richer version of SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser, I present to you her sister, SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleansing Cream. It has similar ingredients as SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleanser with the mild rose scent. The only difference is the texture as SK-II Facial Treatment Gentle Cleansing Cream is in cream form. The creamy texture makes this cleansing cream suitable as makeup remover and providing a luxurious, cleansing experience.

Anti-ageing Eye Care: SK-II Skin Signature Eye Cream
When I go to any cosmetic counter to get eye cream, I noticed there is always different eye cream for different concerns and more often than not, the eye cream for dark circles and puffiness and for anti ageing is usually different. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there is just 1 eye cream that targets ALL concerns that you have for your eyes? Dark circles, puffiness, hydration, wrinkles, radiance.... the list goes on. Do you want such an eye cream? SK-II Skin Signature Eye Cream is here! SK-II Skin Signature Eye Cream is able to rejuvenate the eye area and address 10 concerns (hydration, tone evenness, fine lines / wrinkles, radiance, dark circles, lightness, all day eye power, firmness around the eyes, barrier function and texture around the eyes). All these concerns are able to be addressed due to the revolutionary anti-ageing formula that contains a blend of ingredients including concentrated Pitera™, making this eye cream such a wonderful product. :)

Phew! If you have reached this stage, kudos for reading this lengthy post introducing the 3 products from SK-II that won HerWorld Beauty Awards 2012. Stay tuned for the next post introducing the remaining 4 wonderful products from SK-II and see why they are so! At the same time, if you are interested in trying out these products, do keep a lookout for SK-II promotions during this Great Singapore Sale.

Group Therapy at 49 Duxton Road

Me and BC love brunches on lazy weekends and as such, we love hearty hearty brunch (considering we are compressing 2 meals into 1) with eggs, meat and toast. Initially when we walked past Group Therapy along Duxton Road, we thought it is pretty interesting to have a eating place on the 2nd floor of a shophouse. Needless to say, we googled for it when we were back and got all excited thinking that it is a all-day breakfast place just like Hatched. But when we reached Group Therapy some time later, we were vastly disappointed.

First and foremost, they do not accept reservation. For a small place, which can only accomodate around 20 customers, no reservation?????? My honest opinion..... either you head over super early or you pray that their business to be not so good so that you do not have to queue long for a seat.

Next, the menu. It's not an all-day breakfast place!!! It's more like a cafe that served sandwiches. The only few items on the menu which is considered breakfast to me are granolas, toasted bagel with ham (which is what BC ordered) and pancakes. I do not recall if there were any more breakfast items as my heart was already on ground floor. In any case, we still managed to find something that we would like to eat. BC ordered ham on toasted bagel with cream cheese and a sunny side up as additional order. I ordered toasted ham and cheese panini and scrambled eggs as additional order. We also had our skinny lattes along with the food.

BC commented that he was only impressed with the ham because it looked thick and juicy as you can see from the first picture above. My ham and cheese sandwich was decent but the serving is pretty big. However, I am disappointed with their scrambled eggs as it looks more like omelette than scrambled eggs. It was cooked so well that it does not have the runny texture anymore. :)

Now to the ambience of Group Therapy. Yes, it is nice and cosy as you can see from the pictures below but all sound are trapped in the small space! I do not find this place nice and relaxing throughout our 1 hour stay there as I can hear the lady on my left talking about her work and the guy on my right talking about his photography trip. I am really not interested in their conversation, seriously!

Will I be coming back? NO, that's for sure. I rather pay a bit more for transport to Evan Lodge for Hatched which is also more reasonably priced. We actually paid $56 for what we ordered and honestly, we feel we could have gotten a better deal dining somewhere else.

Dior Addict Extreme lipsticks

Dior Addict lipsticks have always been 1 of my favorite lipsticks because of its moisturising texture, high shine and lovely shades. The peeve I had about Dior Addict lipsticks is the light shade and that they do not last very well on me with only 2 - 3 hours of wear. If you are just like me who love Dior Addict lipsticks and just wish the colour is stronger and longer lasting, your wish just came true. You should check out Dior Addict Extreme.

Dior Addict Extreme lipsticks includes plumping hyaluronic acid spheres and delicate oils that create the shine that we love and with the exclusive blend of 4 targeted-action waxes to give us the lasting power that we wish.

The 4 iconic shades of Dior Addict Extreme are Incognito (nude), Lucky (coral pink), Riviera (strong electric coral) and Plaza (mauve pink). When I checked out Dior counter few days ago, I only zoomed towards these 4 colours and immediately swatched Incognito and Plaza. I really really love these 2 shades.
Seriously, I am tempted BIG TIME to get these 2 lipsticks but I really do not need anymore lipsticks given my current stash of lipsticks is just plain disgusting. Good thing these shades are not limited edition and that would really give me more time to consider and reconsider whether I should get them or not.

Have you check out Dior Addict Extreme lipsticks? What would be your favorite? :)

Essie Brandie Alexander

I used to dislike strong nail colours on my fingers because my nail beds are short and my fingers are stubby. Having strong colours on my finger nails will only bring unnecessary attention to my existing ugly fingers. But lately, I have been having the wth feeling about this. If I feel like painting strong colours, I jolly well would, as long as I am happy!!!

One of the colour that I recently painted that I would not have touched years ago is Essie's Brandie Alexander. It is a bright pink coral with subtle silver shimmers which look extremely vibrant and happy. Such a beautiful cheerful colour! :)

I hope you guys had a good weekend to recuperate and rest after a week of work. The new week is starting again and I am sick of it already...... :(
